About us

Why GUIDED WILD

This Forest School program exemplifies a comprehensive implementation of the six principles outlined by the Forest School Association, which are essential for its legitimacy and success.

Our program operates on a long-term basis, providing families with flexible options of 2 half day or full day sessions per week. By revisiting the same natural woodland environment, we create a conducive space for building upon prior knowledge and fostering deeper understanding.

Time spent in nature isn't just good for the body; it's good for the soul. It fosters resilience, fosters a sense of belonging, and nurtures a deep connection to the world around us.

It's an education that goes beyond the classroom, shaping not just scholars, but stewards of the earth.

Ignite Your Child's Love FOR THE OUTDOORS

Join us in our woodland wonderland, where every day is an adventure, and every child is a shining star in our forest family.

Together, let's ignite a passion for learning, a love for nature, and a sense of wonder that will last a lifetime.

Testimonials

My daughter so deeply enjoyed forest school with Andrea, I could feel my own connection with nature growing. She would come home and tell me stories of how much she enjoyed tying knots and the animals they watched closely, playing imaginative games with her classmates and even enjoying the rain or snow (snow days were her favorite!). Each day she came home from forest school I could tell she felt like a part of a community with Andrea as her steady and safe leader. As a parent, I enjoyed connecting with Andrea, too, as I trusted she had my daughter’s learning and overall well being as a top priority.

Jordan (Norah, 4)

Andrea is an exceptional forest school teacher who guided my son through his first year of forest school with compassion, patience, and warmth. He loved going to school with Miss Andrea and still talks about his positive experience often. Andrea is conscientious, thoughtful and dedicated to her pupils. She also loves to have fun with them and her pod of children love to be around her. She has a great balance of being nurturing, while simultaneously encouraging students to become more self-reliant.  I highly recommend forest school with Miss Andrea

Mara (Walkie, 4)

Miss Andrea is the most amazing teacher. My son spent a year in her forest school pod and quickly bonded with her, to the point that she has become a very important person in his life, and in our family. Her ability to connect with children is astounding. She fosters independence, curiosity and safe risk-taking in a way that has resulted in incredible growth in our son throughout his time with her. She encourages self-regulation as opposed to discipline or scolding, and the kids respect her immensely. She gets to know the kids and values their voices and opinions so that they feel confident to be themselves around her. She is always communicating with them at their level, and responding to them with respect and understanding.

Monica (Criz, 4)

I have two boys who attended a summer program with Andrea. In short, they loved the program and Andrea. With Andreas' guidance, they learned wonderful new skills and confidence in the wilderness. We are grateful for the time Andrea dedicated to our boys and wish we could do it all again.

Meet Our Leadership

Team ImageAndrea Sicignano
Director and Lead Practitioner

Andrea has been an influential leader in the outdoor education space since 2015; guiding children of all ages through trails across the States & abroad. After receiving a Masters in Education, Andrea completed her Level 3 Forest School Training in Oxford, England.

Recognizing the need for Forest School education in the states, she relocated to Colorado where she established Guided Wild. With a desire to deliver this type of programming to more children in America, she moved to Montana to implement Livingston’s very first Forest School for 3-5 year olds.
